Institutional Research Analyst

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and perform quality assurance on institutional reports using data visualization techniques to track key performance indicators
• Maintain internal student information datasets and dashboard reports to support institutional planning and accountability
• Design and implement survey research methodologies, including tool development, implementation, and analysis
• Support academic program accreditation projects through data collection, interpretation, and process development
• Analyze external data sources (e.g., IRCC, BC Labour Market Outlook) to inform internal stakeholder decision-making
• Assist academic program proposal teams by presenting data on labor market demand, market positioning, and demographic trends
• Maintain student career outcome and satisfaction databases

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or Psychology)
• 3+ years of experience in institutional research, business analytics, enrollment management, or a similar data-driven role
• Proficiency with Tableau and Tableau Prep
• Proficiency in R for Statistics
• Experience with MS Excel and MS Power BI
• Experience with enterprise data management and quality assurance processes
• Knowledge of survey research design and platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey)
• Valid Canadian residency or work permit

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field
• Experience with Ellucian Colleague
• Experience with time-management software such as Asana
