Institutional Investment Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Design and execute initiatives to manage emerging and ongoing risks within a regulated environment
• Manage the global Book of Work to ensure alignment across US, UK, and India regions
• Partner with Global Leads to drive new and existing risk and control initiatives
• Engage with business stakeholders, Compliance, and senior leadership to resolve complex issues
• Monitor governance across CIB Operations globally and provide data-driven insights on risk and compliance
• Facilitate Process Risk Reviews, including gap analysis, control testing, and metric mapping
• Identify Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and perform ongoing monitoring
• Apply risk frameworks such as RCSA, Incident Management, and Issue Management
• Collaborate with global stakeholders on control testing and incident reporting
• Manage the assignment, scheduling, and reporting of governance program activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Financial Markets or a related field
• 11–13 years of relevant experience in Capital Markets Operations, Compliance Surveillance, or Controls
• Strong knowledge of derivatives, foreign exchange (FX), equities, and fixed income products
• Hands-on expertise in trade lifecycle processes (static data, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations)
• Proven expertise in Operational Risk Management (RCSA, Incident, and Issue Management)
• Strong understanding of control testing methodologies and reporting to senior leadership
• Excellent English communication skills
• Flexibility to work global shifts, including night shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications in Operations Risk or Investment Banking (e.g., PRMIA ORM, CISI, FINRA Series 7, 22, 24, 99)
• Experience with business intelligence tools, workflow tools, and data schemas
