Installer Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Install new garage doors for residential customers
• Remove existing doors and mechanical parts
• Replace worn or broken door parts using tools
• Assemble mechanical parts, springs, sections, slats, and hardware
• Run wiring to connect equipment
• Lubricate and test mechanical parts for proper functioning
• Educate customers on upgraded parts and services
• Document all installation activities

Requirements

• Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods
• Physically able to lift 75lbs and lift garage door panels above head
• Ability to stand on ladders
• Basic knowledge of hand tools (power drill, hammer, saw, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
• Basic math and reading skills for measurements and payments
• Proficiency with navigation apps and basic computer/tablet use
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States

Benefits

• Starting pay of $36.75/hour (Piece Rate) plus commission
