About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan and direct the installation of custom-built scenic elements, displays, and event structures
- Conduct site surveys to assess venue conditions and plan load-in/load-out logistics
- Supervise internal installation teams and external subcontractors
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure proper use of PPE
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, project managers, and venue staff
- Coordinate with the workshop team to ensure fabricated items are ready and shipped correctly
- Perform quality inspections to ensure work matches approved drawings
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as an installation manager in the event, scenery construction, or exhibition fabrication industry
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, metal fabrication, branding works, and painting
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in high-pressure environments
- Experience with material handling, transport, and site logistics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with project management tools like MS Project
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
