Installation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission medical gas pipeline systems in hospitals and healthcare environments
• Perform pre-commissioning and final connections of piped gas systems in line with industry standards
• Interpret and work from mechanical services drawings and specifications
• Ensure all installations comply with HTM 02-01 and ISO 7396-1 standards
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and hospital staff to ensure smooth project delivery
• Maintain accurate documentation, installation records, and adhere to all health and safety regulations
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and subcontractors when required

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical gas pipeline installation or a similar mechanical engineering field
• Valid MGPS Competent Person (CP) or Authorised Person (AP) certification (HTM 02-01)
• Strong understanding of HTM 02-01, ISO 7396-1, and other relevant industry standards
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally to various customer sites
• CSCS card and relevant health & safety certifications (e.g., SSSTS, PASMA, IPAF) are advantageous
