About the role

Responsibilities

  • Follow detailed instructions provided by Managers and Operations Executives
  • Review job files prior to inspection to ensure readiness
  • Perform inspections in accordance with approved procedures and standards
  • Prepare necessary tools, instruments, and documentation for inspections
  • Provide guidance to trainee or junior inspectors
  • Supervise inspection teams when required
  • Coordinate with Port Operations, agents, and terminals regarding vessel status
  • Organize and check draft field reports before handover
  • Maintain inspection equipment and apparatus
  • Adhere to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies

Requirements

  • Minimum education of SPM
  • 3-5 years of relevant working experience preferred
  • Ability to pass the Inspector Quality Assessment if lacking minimum academic qualifications
