Inspector Quality Control II

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts, assemblies, products, and materials for defects, conformance, appearance, finishes, and operation
• Perform CMM inspections using Calypso software for large and small parts
• Measure gear geometry and verify component conformance with metrology equipment and precision gauges
• Review incoming supplier materials for compliance
• Document inspection results, maintain reports, and support standardized work instructions and procedures
• Collaborate across the organization and help educate others on GD&T and proper inspection techniques

Requirements

• 3+ years of quality inspection, metrology, or related manufacturing experience
• Associate degree or technical school training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with CMM inspection and Calypso or similar programming software
• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings, models, work instructions, and specifications
• Ability to use micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Training in quality disciplines and metrology
• Experience operating a CMM in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SAP
