Inspector I

Responsibilities

• Inspect ambulances and emergency vehicles to ensure they meet quality standards through functional testing and cosmetic sign-offs
• Perform water testing, leak detection, and vehicle weighing
• Conduct road tests and verify order options for all vehicles received
• Complete cosmetic tags and report any necessary repairs or maintenance issues to supervisors
• Follow departmental work instructions and maintain safety and 5-S requirements
• Assist with detailing duties and promote Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement tools

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate simple instructions and correspondence in English
• Proficiency in using linear and other types of measuring devices
• Strong mechanical ability and understanding of component operation
• Experience using hand tools
• Valid Driver’s License for vehicle road testing
• Ability to work in a production environment involving ladders, standing, kneeling, and lifting up to 40 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• 0-1 year of experience in a Quality Control (QC) setting
• Previous experience in vehicle assembly
