Inspector I

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and support Quality Assurance processes to reduce defects throughout the value stream
• Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections of completed processes in designated areas
• Validate all critical and safety items as required by the Build Book
• Perform data entry, analysis, and generation of quality reports
• Conduct audits of new and existing processes and facilitate Root Cause Analysis
• Review deviations, quality alerts, and stop shipments
• Operate all functions of fire apparatus and perform necessary tests
• Initiate non-conforming material documents for supplier quality issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 12 ft
• Ability to work in all weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow)
• Ability to read relevant measuring equipment and follow strict safety guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Class B CDL or ability to obtain one within 90 days
• Associate or Technical Degree in Quality or Manufacturing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to read engineering documents such as part prints and assembly drawings
• Understanding of hydraulic, PTO, and pump systems
• Prior experience with quality systems
