About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final visual and dimensional inspections using precision instruments
- Conduct first piece and first shot inspections on products
- Assist with necessary testing in accordance with customer and company requirements
- Complete accurate reports and related quality paperwork
- Assist in issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) through the internal web system
- Maintain 5S standards in the assigned work area and adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA) requirements
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of blueprints, charts, graphs, customer drawings, and specifications
- Ability to convert decimals to fractions and vice versa
- Strong mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, algebra, trigonometry, and geometry
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing inspection or quality control experience
- Proficiency with measuring equipment such as calipers, PI tapes, micrometers, height gages, and inside micrometers
- Knowledge of quality control systems meeting ISO 9001 or API requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude
