Inspector D

Responsibilities

• Perform complex inspections, tests, and audits of microelectronics, precision mechanical assemblies, and PWB components using CMM equipment.
• Operate and program Zeiss, OGP, and Keyence CMM equipment using software such as Calipso or Zone 3.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and complete all required documentation to ensure hardware traceability.
• Review technical drawings, engineering specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensure product conformance.
• Utilize optical inspection equipment, including 14”, 16”, and 30” Optical Comparators.
• Use precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and indicator test stands for workmanship assessments.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers to develop inspection requirements, implement quality plans, and identify process improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience programming and setting up CMM equipment (Calipso, Zone 3, or similar).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with engineering drawings, GD&T, and mechanical/electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Minimum of 4 years of technical inspection experience.
• Proven ability to work both independently and within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with J-STD and PWB inspection.
• Experience working with MIL-STD drawings and requirements.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards.
• Proficient Microsoft Excel skills.
