Inspector C

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections on various components using drawings, specifications, and established procedures
• Inspect, verify, and release shipments using standard or pre-established inspection techniques
• Evaluate material characteristics including hardness, surface finish, visual inspection, and penetrant testing
• Review vendor reports for correctness, completeness, and compliance
• Initiate inspection reports, record data, and maintain quality documentation files
• Report all nonconforming conditions and initiate appropriate documentation
• Verify that component hardware is cleaned, packed, and packaged according to specifications
• Maintain a clean and orderly workplace

Requirements

• US citizenship required due to DoD requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a four-year machine shop or inspection apprentice program (or equivalent)
• Minimum of two years of machining or inspection experience
• Strong blueprint reading skills for machined parts and ability to identify dimensional inspection techniques
