About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of aerospace parts, assemblies, raw materials, tooling, and instruments to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Use inspection tools and measuring devices such as micrometers, gauges, scales, and calipers to verify specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, work instruction sheets, and quality standards.
- Conduct random audits of assembly processes, procedures, and products.
- Identify and document non-conformities and discrepancies in the system, including preparing QN and Reword Records.
- Work closely with supervisors and engineering teams to report critical inspection issues and suggest process improvements.
- Make informed decisions based on established criteria, including the authority to stop processes when necessary.
Requirements
- High School diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant inspection experience.
- Proficiency with SAP.
- Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required for access to specific program information.
- Ability to pass a post-offer vision examination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with aerospace industry standards.
- Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Action (RRCA) processes.
