About the role
Responsibilities
- Establish, manage, and improve inspection systems to support production plans and maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Utilize data analysis and Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodologies to solve complex equipment problems and reduce abnormal counts
- Monitor equipment performance to minimize operating expenses and ensure workplace safety
- Create and analyze reports regarding machine micro-stops, breakdowns, and yield impacts to develop continuous improvement countermeasures
- Develop inspection PM work orders, manage machine standards, and maintain calibration and accuracy of machinery
- Create and maintain operational process and equipment manuals, including total operation flow diagrams
- Use production data to justify CapEx/OpEx changes and new technology implementations
- Mentor and train technicians and other engineers to develop team capability
- Communicate effectively with local and international vendors to facilitate equipment repairs and replacements
- Maintain work-site cleanliness in accordance with 5S3R standards
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent related experience
- 1 to 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing-related role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to provide hands-on support for equipment in both office and manufacturing environments
- Ability to work adjusted shifts and travel up to 10% (domestic or international)
Preferred Qualifications
- Machine Vision experience
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Catia, etc.)
- Battery production related knowledge
- Korean language proficiency
