Inspection and Packaging Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections, labeling, assembly, and packaging of liquids, suspensions, and lyophilized pharmaceutical products in vials and ampoules
• Operate semi-automatic inspection machines, vial label applicators, and box imprinting machines
• Maintain accurate manufacturing records and complete all required paperwork to comply with FDA regulations
• Clean labeling and packaging assembly equipment and the facility as needed
• Comply with all personal safety and job area safety policies and procedures
• Stock materials utilized by the department and report any variances or deviations from standard procedures to management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to visually inspect small print, printed labels, and pharmaceutical products for small particles
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Basic math and computer skills
• Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, and lift up to 35lbs
• Manual dexterity and the ability to maintain close, color, and depth vision

Preferred Qualifications

• Biotechnology certificate or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years of related experience in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment
