Inspection and Packaging Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections, labeling, and packaging of liquid, suspension, and lyophilized pharmaceutical products.
• Operate semi-automatic inspection machines, vial label applicators, and box imprinting machines.
• Maintain accurate manufacturing records and complete all required paperwork to comply with FDA and Federal regulations.
• Clean labeling and packaging assembly equipment and the facility as needed.
• Comply with all personal safety and job area safety policies and procedures.
• Report any variances or deviations from standard procedures to department management.
• Stock materials utilized by the department to ensure continuous operation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to visually inspect small print, printed labels, and pharmaceutical products for small particles.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit at a workstation for up to 50 minutes at a time for an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform repetitive motions with manual dexterity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Biotechnology certificate or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
