About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of State, Local, and Education (SLED) accounts in the Northeast region.
  • Conduct proactive outbound outreach to drive new business and expand existing account relationships.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close using consultative selling techniques.
  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Partner with field sales, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to execute sales strategies.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, and forecast data within CRM tools.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Travel up to 25% for customer meetings, regional events, and relationship development.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience in inside sales, telesales, or account management.
  • Proven experience in technology or public sector markets.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce or Dynamics.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Inside Sales Professional (CISP) or similar sales credential.
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement processes, including RFP/RFQ environments.
  • Experience supporting new business acquisition within the SLED market.
