About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of State, Local, and Education (SLED) accounts in the Northeast region.
- Conduct proactive outbound outreach to drive new business and expand existing account relationships.
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close using consultative selling techniques.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline aligned with regional priorities.
- Meet or exceed assigned revenue and activity targets through strategic account planning.
- Partner with field sales, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to execute sales strategies.
- Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, and forecast data within CRM tools.
- Travel up to 25% for customer meetings, regional events, and relationship development.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 2–4 years of experience in inside sales, telesales, or account management.
- Experience in technology or public sector markets.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce or Dynamics preferred).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Inside Sales Professional (CISP) or similar sales credential.
- Familiarity with public sector procurement processes, including RFP/RFQ environments.
- Experience supporting new business acquisition within the SLED market.
