About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor procurement channels and bid boards including DIBBS, GSA Ebuy, Unison, and SAM.gov
- Manage customer quotes, pricing, credit terms, and delivery dates via phone and email
- Maintain an active sales pipeline by entering quotes and opportunities into Salesforce
- Utilize ERP systems for efficient order processing
- Recommend products to customers based on their specific mission needs and interests
- Develop marketing strategies to access new contacts within existing accounts
- Achieve established sales and margin objectives
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales team to provide leads from incoming inquiries
- Conduct market research to assist in developing territory strategies and vendor relations
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Business or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and internet search capabilities
- Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to build rapport and credibility with customers and suppliers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in government sales and Federal contracting
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM
