About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor various procurement channels and bid boards including DIBBS, GSA Ebuy, Unison, and SAM.gov
- Manage customer relationships by answering inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and credit terms
- Provide quotes for prices, contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
- Utilize ERP systems for order processing and Salesforce for pipeline management
- Recommend products based on customer mission types and specific needs
- Develop marketing strategies to access new contacts within existing accounts
- Achieve sales and margin objectives set by leadership
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales team to provide leads from incoming inquiries or bid boards
- Conduct market research to assist in developing territory strategies and vendor relations
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Business or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and internet search capabilities
- Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and credibility with customers and suppliers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in government sales and Federal contracting
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM
