About the role
Responsibilities
- Actively listen to customers to provide advice on products, pricing, and availability
- Process customer orders via phone, email, and fax, and prepare quotations or tender requests
- Perform outbound cold-calls to network customers and market segments to drive business
- Provide back-office support to local account executives and conduct post-sales follow-ups
- Manage store product displays and ensure a clean, organized retail environment
- Coordinate with the logistics team to manage cylinder replenishing and ensure timely deliveries
- Utilize welding knowledge to help customers select the correct supplies for their specific projects
- Participate in an on-call rotation to assist with after-hours customer needs
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of industry experience in customer service or sales of welding/industrial products
- Proficiency with computer systems including Google Suites, Oracle, SAP, or Salesforce
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Strong customer service focus and a positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of welding processes and products
- Experience operating a forklift
