Inside Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support Outside Sales Engineers by managing customer inquiries and providing prompt updates.
• Prepare accurate technical quotations, including specifications, pricing, and delivery terms.
• Collaborate with sales teams to ensure quotations align with customer needs and company policies.
• Offer technical expertise and advice on product selection to drive sales.
• Proactively follow up on submitted quotations to convert inquiries into orders.
• Process purchase orders efficiently and maintain communication with stakeholders regarding order status.
• Maintain and update the CRM and ERP systems with accurate customer information and interactions.
• Monitor and track invoices to ensure timely submission and resolve any billing discrepancies.
• Utilize sales tracking tools to analyze trends and support decision-making.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of sales experience specifically within the marine industry.
• Proven track record in managing client relationships and driving upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers via email, phone, and in-person.
