About the role
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers primarily over the phone and email to generate and close sales
- Process sales orders and convert quotations into orders
- Maintain relationships with established key accounts
- Prospect and develop new customers using outbound calling campaigns
- Act as a project manager for large projects, including tracking lead times
- Investigate and resolve customer issues such as pricing deductions and product returns
- Support Outside Sales and Counter Teams with orders and issues
- Assist counter sales during peak hours
Requirements
- College and/or University degree
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service or inside sales
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Intermediate math skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with pipe, valves, and fittings products
