Inplant Ink Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain INX's relationship with the customer and serve as a liaison
• Review scheduling and coordinate jobs with the customer
• Perform technical service, color matching, ink production, and dispensing
• Evaluate production requirements based on schedule changes
• Manage inventory and perform monthly consignment counts
• Provide press-side technical support and job estimates
• Perform Quality Control tests on incoming and site-manufactured batches
• Manufacture batches under 100 pounds
• Complete monthly reports and ensure data entry accuracy

Requirements

• High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
• Ability to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test
• 2 to 5 years of work-related experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Strong math, reading, and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Spectrophotometer knowledge and experience
• Technical qualification to service Offset Sheetfed products
• Familiarity with X-Rite IQC
• Knowledge of flexible packaging, flexographic printing, or solvent ink
• Previous lab, inplant, or warehouse experience
• SAP knowledge
• College degree
