Inpatient Scheduler

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of direct patient care staff for acute dialysis treatments in contracted hospitals and facilities.
• Act as the central point of contact for physicians, hospital partners, and clinical staff to ensure timely emergent and non-emergent care.
• Manage staff utilization and dispatch appropriate personnel (RN, CCHT, BIOMED, etc.) to assigned facilities.
• Oversee hospital equipment availability and coordinate with the technical team for machine repairs and infection control measures.
• Maintain accurate master trackers for staff scheduling, equipment inventory, and water testing results.
• Respond to incoming calls swiftly using approved communication tools and escalate scheduling matters as needed.
• Assist with new hire orientation regarding hospital contract hours and local call-out procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in customer service or dispatching.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Experience using communication platforms such as Skype or Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment, including being on call.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain professional and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior scheduling experience in a fast-paced medical or clinical environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience with specialized systems such as Grasshopper or ACES.
