Inorganics Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff and laboratory operations within the Inorganics section to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
• Manage resources effectively to minimize wastage of solvents and reduce glassware breakages
• Maintain acceptable turnaround times for tasks and results, ensuring all holding times are met
• Ensure all duties are conducted in accordance with the Quality Procedures Manual and update SOPs as necessary
• Train and develop Team Leads and monitor instrument performance for deviations from specifications
• Promote a safe work environment by adhering to HSE policies, using appropriate PPE, and reporting unsafe conditions
• Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and conduct root cause investigations for corrective actions
• Support continuous improvement processes and ensure laboratory equipment meets Data Quality Objectives

Requirements

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of quality management systems and laboratory competence requirements
• Ability to use or learn to use a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and perform under pressure
