Innovation Strategist

Responsibilities

• Develop innovation strategies by identifying emerging technologies and innovative contracting vehicles like OTs, CSOs, and IDIQs.
• Conduct opportunity analysis and maintain innovation roadmaps aligned with federal agency priorities and policy shifts.
• Collaborate with capture teams to design technical and pricing strategies for high-value government proposals.
• Build and maintain relationships with government contracting officers, program managers, and industry partners.
• Work cross-functionally with technical, legal, and business development teams to prototype and pilot scalable solutions.
• Ensure all innovative strategies comply with federal regulations (FAR, DFARS) while managing risk for novel approaches.
• Track the impact of innovation initiatives on win rates and contract value.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in government contracting, business development, or strategy consulting.
• Direct exposure to federal procurement processes.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance (with ability and willingness to take and pass a CI poly).
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Public Policy, Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the ATO Security process.
• Proven track record of contributing to successful government contract wins.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-priority sectors such as the DoD or Intelligence Community.
• Background in emerging technology areas including AI/ML, cybersecurity, cloud, autonomy, or biotech.
• Technical certifications such as CISSP or Security+.
• Master's degree or MBA.
