Innovation Scientist

Responsibilities

• Own the pitch storyline for each venture and drive timelines, milestones, and gates
• Craft customer and investor-facing materials including executive summaries, white papers, pitch decks, and demo videos
• Co-lead the founding CEO search for each new venture alongside TandemLaunch executives
• Contribute to portfolio-wide initiatives such as investor events, demo days, and pitch coaching

Requirements

• Technical fluency sufficient to hold credible conversations with hardware engineers, ML researchers, and physicists
• PhD in engineering or physics, or research-track MSc plus deep-tech industry experience, or engineering degree plus founding-team experience at a hard-tech startup
• Demonstrated ability to turn complex technical work into narratives that land with non-technical audiences
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• Self-directed and energized by ambiguity
• Genuine curiosity and appetite for breadth across multiple domains
