Innovation Consultant – Energy & Environment

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals for European funding programmes, including Innovation Fund, LIFE, Horizon Europe, and CEF.
• Coordinate international proposal consortia and manage the development process from initial concept to final submission.
• Advise clients on European funding strategies and identify optimal funding opportunities for their technology.
• Facilitate technical workshops with industrial companies, research organisations, and consortium partners.
• Develop competitive project concepts, work packages, budgets, and implementation strategies.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships while supporting business development efforts.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in EU funding, innovation consulting, or R&D project development.
• Proven track record of independently writing and coordinating European funding proposals.
• Deep knowledge of Innovation Fund, LIFE, Horizon Europe, and CEF programmes.
• Degree in Engineering (Energy, Environmental), Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience working with industrial clients in decarbonisation, energy systems, hydrogen, or clean technologies.
• Fluent Italian and excellent written and spoken English (C1 minimum).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
