About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize injection molding operations while serving as the technical expert for molding systems and equipment
  • Develop and test machinery and equipment; maintain support infrastructure including pumps, chillers, coolers, piping, heat transfer, air quality, compressed air, and electrical systems
  • Act as a safety leader and diagnose tooling, processing, or equipment issues through part inspection and root cause analysis
  • Create procedures for machine alarms and press alerts; develop standardized processes for adjustments, new tool introduction, test runs, and machine conversions
  • Collaborate with shift leads to determine production priorities and scheduling

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Hands-on experience with injection molding equipment including specifying, upgrading, repairing, and maintaining systems
  • Experience with lot number traceability, engineering-grade resins, and specification-driven processes
  • Deep knowledge of auxiliary equipment such as mold water/oil heaters, hot manifold systems, screws, barrels, material drying and conveying systems, and dew-point meters
  • Ability to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Safety-first mindset with a collaborative approach
