Vogel is one of Germany's leading mid-sized consulting firms, a family-owned business since 1959 based in Aalen. We are transforming into a nationwide consulting platform for the German Mittelstand, offering expertise in tax, commercial, and strategic advisory.

Responsibilities

Depending on your chosen area of interest, your responsibilities may include:

• Tax Advisory: Working with entrepreneurs on annual financial statements, tax returns, and strategic topics like succession planning, M&A preparation, and international structures.
• Payroll Accounting: Managing complex payroll processes and driving the digitalization of payroll through automated workflows and modern interfaces.
• Digitalization & Advisory: Working at the intersection of consulting and technology, performing process analyses, tool implementations, and business advisory such as liquidity planning and FP&A.

Requirements

• Experience: Relevant practical experience from studies/internships for entry-level, or proven track record in Big Four, consulting, or specialized mid-sized firms for experienced professionals.
• Professional Qualification: For specific profiles, a passed tax advisor exam (Steuerberater) or nearing completion with 1-5 years of client responsibility.
• Skills: Clear written and verbal communication, ability to explain complex topics simply, and proficiency in using AI as a tool for research and analysis.
• Mindset: High standards of quality, ownership, and a desire to build a consulting company architecture. A high level of professional commitment is expected.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Big Four (KPMG, EY, PwC, Deloitte) or similar consulting environments.
• Proven ability to automate repetitive tasks using technology.
• Background in entrepreneurship or tech-driven industries.
