Infusion Nurse

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care through the administration of intravenous and injectable specialty medications
• Conduct pre-treatment patient assessments, including review of medical history and contraindications
• Initiate and manage peripheral IV access and central lines using sterile technique
• Monitor patients during and post-infusion, identifying and responding to adverse events per medical directives
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, and side effects
• Document all patient care activities accurately within electronic patient records
• Maintain medication accountability and participate in clinic compliance and quality initiatives
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration and good standing with the BCCNM
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in infusion or ambulatory care
• Infusion certification or demonstrated hands-on IV infusion experience
• Current CPR certification
• Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to work onsite at both Surrey and Vancouver clinic locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience administering biologics, oncology, or specialty pharmaceutical therapies
• ACLS certification
• Experience managing infusion-related adverse events
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems
