Infrastructure/Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive the migration of applications and core services from legacy systems to a modern, resilient infrastructure stack.
• Mature and scale internal testing and validation tools, including local stack orchestration frameworks.
• Collaborate with application engineering teams to optimize critical-path applications and minimize latency.
• Maintain and manage 100% of the production environment utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Identify and mitigate security attack vectors and coordinate chaos-engineering tests to guarantee maximum uptime.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of core infrastructure fundamentals including security, networking, and access control.
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes and Kubernetes best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Docker, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Proficiency in backend application development using Golang.
• Experience working with Postgres or Clickhouse.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in New York, NY, with a regular in-office presence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dagster.
• A proactive approach to zero-trust architecture and continuous system hardening.
• High proficiency in leveraging advanced AI and development tools to accelerate engineering workflows.
