Infrastructure System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure systems to ensure high availability and performance
• Manage and support virtualization platforms, storage systems, and server environments
• Monitor system performance and implement tuning and optimization
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs and projects
• Ensure compliance with company security standards and best practices
• Participate in incident management and problem resolution
• Document system configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure systems engineering
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Experience with storage solutions including SAN, NAS, and distributed file systems
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals and security practices
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system and infrastructure issues
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions
