Infrastructure Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform data center equipment installation including racking, stacking, cabling, and initial configuration of servers, switches, and storage
• Conduct site inspections of mechanical and engineering systems and escalate maintenance needs
• Manage inventory, including spare parts, cables, and equipment tracking
• Oversee and escort third-party vendors to ensure compliance with company processes and regulations
• Provide maintenance and break-fix support for infrastructure technologies following change management processes
• Maintain regulatory compliance under NERC/CIP guidelines and secure critical SCADA systems
• Provide first-shift weekday on-site support and participate in 24x7 rotational on-call support

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (relevant experience or certifications may be considered in lieu of degree)
• 2 years of experience with enterprise-grade computing hardware
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to travel as required within the US

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with data center terminology, standards, and hardware components (cables, connectors, SFPs, etc.)
• Understanding of security, computer hardware, software applications, and data communication equipment
• Knowledge of network diagrams, firewall rules, ports, and services
• Working understanding of NERC-CIP compliance requirements and policies
