Infrastructure Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production software infrastructure for AI products, focusing on orchestration, execution, and runtime systems.
• Design internal backend services and APIs used by product and AI engineers.
• Improve system operational maturity through better state management, failure handling, metrics, and tracing.
• Manage Kubernetes-backed execution environments, including container lifecycle, scheduling, and resource isolation.
• Build developer-facing tools and abstractions to improve internal developer experience.
• Lead design discussions for core runtime and orchestration systems, including API boundaries and execution models.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in infrastructure software, backend infrastructure, or distributed systems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in backend programming, APIs, data modeling, and concurrency.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with persistence systems such as Postgres, Redis/Valkey, or object storage.
• Experience building orchestration systems, job schedulers, or workflow engines.
• Strong systems thinking regarding state machines, failure modes, and long-running workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep Kubernetes experience (controllers, operators, networking, or scheduling).
• Experience with AI agent infrastructure, ML infrastructure, or LLM-based product systems.
• Background in reliability engineering or infrastructure software at scale.
• Experience in high-growth startups.
• Experience with chips, EDA, or design verification.
