Responsibilities
- Receive, triage, and prioritize inbound tickets from developers and business teams
- Serve as a primary point of contact for infrastructure-related incidents and drive root cause analysis (RCA)
- Monitor, audit, and improve the health and performance of production hosting platforms using LogicMonitor, Kibana, and Elasticsearch
- Proactively identify anomalies, performance bottlenecks, and capacity risks
- Maintain, test, and refine backup systems and data retention policies
- Develop and document operational runbooks, SOPs, and post-incident reports
- Collaborate cross-functionally with software engineering, security, and platform teams
- Contribute to automation initiatives and platform migrations
- Participate in on-call rotations to support 24/7 production availability
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using Bash or Python
- Support capacity planning efforts by tracking resource utilization trends
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or platform operations
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash); Python is a plus
- Understanding of datacenter operations, networking (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing), and storage
- Experience with monitoring tools like LogicMonitor, Datadog, or Prometheus
- Hands-on experience with ELK stack (Kibana/Elasticsearch)
- Familiarity with Jira or similar incident management platforms
- Experience operating cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Ansible
