Infrastructure Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of middleware engineers in India
• Set the strategic roadmap for enterprise messaging and streaming platforms, including IBM MQ, Confluent Kafka, Redis, and Solace
• Oversee the architecture and engineering of enterprise-grade middleware infrastructure to ensure high availability and disaster recovery
• Drive the platform's automation strategy using frameworks such as Ansible, Python, and Terraform
• Manage the overall health, performance, and capacity of all middleware environments
• Lead the team during high-priority production incidents and conduct effective root cause analysis
• Partner with application development teams to champion event-driven architectures and streaming best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of Infrastructure Engineering experience
• 2+ years of leadership or management experience
• Hands-on experience with enterprise messaging or streaming platforms (e.g., IBM MQ, Confluent Kafka, Solace)
• Expertise in automation tools such as Ansible, Python, or Terraform
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Microservices architecture, and API integrations
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry with high-throughput and strict reliability requirements
• Expertise in Web/App Server products like Apache HTTP Server, Nginx, or Apache Tomcat
• Proficiency in Full stack Java and experience with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
• Experience managing operations for critical production systems and incident management
• Strong ability to connect technical decisions to business value and engage with senior leadership
