Infrastructure Engineer – Storage Platform

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain distributed storage platforms including Ceph (RBD, CephFS, RGW) and high-performance NAS platforms like Weka or VAST Data
• Manage storage lifecycle operations including cluster expansion, upgrades, and migrations
• Monitor storage health, capacity utilization, data distribution, and recovery operations
• Analyze and troubleshoot storage performance regarding IOPS, throughput, and latency
• Identify and remediate bottlenecks across disk subsystems and network paths
• Support Kubernetes-integrated storage including CSI drivers, StorageClasses, and PersistentVolumes
• Execute and improve automation for storage deployment using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or storage operations
• Hands-on experience operating distributed storage systems in production environments
• Proficiency with Ceph (RBD, CephFS, or RGW)
• Experience with modern high-performance storage platforms such as Weka or VAST Data
• Strong Linux systems knowledge
• Deep understanding of storage performance characteristics (IOPS, throughput, latency)
• Ability to troubleshoot across storage systems, network paths, and compute clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting AI/ML or High-Performance Computing (HPC) workloads
• Familiarity with NVMe-based storage architectures and RDMA or high-throughput Ethernet
• Experience integrating storage with Kubernetes
• Experience operating storage across multiple data centers
• Exposure to object storage and S3-compatible APIs
