Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate alternative architectures and trade-offs in cost, performance, and scalability
• Document architecturally significant decisions
• Produce specifications for cloud-based or on-premises components, tiers, and interfaces
• Support projects through technical plans and application of design principles
• Align solutions with enterprise and solution architecture standards, including security
• Elicit and document detailed requirements using agreed standards
• Review requirements for errors and omissions and provide input to the requirements baseline
• Ensure projects adhere to agreed architectures, standards, methods, tools, and security/privacy requirements

Requirements

• Experience in distributed technical environments and modern platform delivery practices
• Proficiency with cloud platforms and hybrid environments (Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, containerization)
• Knowledge of networking, secure connectivity, and infrastructure constraints
• Experience with DevOps tooling, CI/CD platforms (GitLab), and infrastructure automation
• Experience in site and deployment engineering
• Experience in lab and simulation environment support
• Experience in tool administration and engineering support for MBSE
• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in a technical subject with substantial IT content and 3 years post-related experience (or 5 years of extensive progressive experience in lieu of a degree)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in an international environment with military and civilian elements
• Knowledge of NATO organization, internal structure, and relationships
