Infrastructure Engineer

OLIX is building the next paradigm of AI infrastructure. The OLIX Decode Accelerator 1 (DX-1) is the first accelerator architected specifically for decode, utilizing rack-scale co-design of logic, data movement, packaging, optics, and interconnect to enable a step change in system level performance.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the platform: design, provision, and run Kubernetes and bare-metal infrastructure
• Automate everything: own infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and provisioning pipelines
• Improve the developer platform: build and maintain CI/CD, internal tooling, and self-service workflows
• Tune for performance: optimise networking (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs) and storage for ML and hardware workloads
• Own reliability and observability: implement monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments
• Own platform security: implement identity and access management, secrets management, and threat detection
• Drive continuous improvement: proactively find and fix bottlenecks and reliability gaps

Requirements

• 5+ years in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps/SRE engineering
• Strong infrastructure-as-code and automation skills (Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash)
• Solid networking fundamentals
• Experience operating across hybrid cloud and on-prem/bare-metal environments
• Strong grasp of infrastructure security (IAM, secrets management, network security)
• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex, cross-layer issues
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work collaboratively with hardware and ML engineers
• Experience explaining infrastructure trade-offs clearly
