Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design cage, rack, and server layouts with co-location partners
• Provision and deploy server, network, and hosting equipment
• Perform hardware qualification testing for production deployments
• Administer and maintain hosted infrastructure including firewalls, switches, and storage
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for technical support
• Automate hosting-related processes such as deployment and security scanning
• Define and monitor metrics for highly-available hosted services

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure and Cisco UCS blades
• Experience with storage/SAN deployment (EMC Unity, Data Domain, Avamar, or Dell)
• Proficiency with Cisco Nexus, ASA Firewalls, and F5 LTM/DNS load balancers
• Experience managing VMware (6.x/7.x/8) and RHEL 7.x
• Strong Linux and Windows Active Directory management skills
• Proficiency in scripting for automation (Python, Ansible, Puppet, or PowerShell)
• Knowledge of ITIL principles and service monitoring tools like Nagios or Cacti
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
