About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute daily activities supporting standard capacity processes for critical applications within the line of business.
- Partner with Application, Infrastructure, and SRE teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation.
- Develop and analyze data to create recommendations for capacity plans and efficient resource scaling.
- Automate monitoring data views and improve systems running at scale to ensure end-to-end application monitoring.
- Drive assessments for ad-hoc events to ensure systems are prepared for sudden capacity requirements.
- Collect, compile, and analyze data from database infrastructure to deliver accurate capacity reports to stakeholders.
- Manage the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, including the implementation of automated or integrated systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of applied experience in infrastructure engineering.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, networking, databases, storage engineering, and deployment practices.
- Practical experience managing or governing technology capacity or ITIL processes.
- Proficiency with monitoring and visualization tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, or ELK.
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Microsoft Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau.
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Go, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience with AWS cloud technologies, including designing and deploying scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
