Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site, hands-on support for systems and devices at remote OPDIV, HC3, TICAP, data center, and Cybersecurity Operations locations
• Install, configure, test, operate, and maintain servers, workstations, switches, KVM/console devices, and APC rack management devices
• Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, client connectivity issues, network performance issues, and VPN problems
• Acknowledge assigned tickets within 30 minutes and dispatch to Washington, DC Metro area sites within one hour when required
• Conduct system upgrades, software/firmware updates, patching, and preventative maintenance
• Update asset and inventory logs and maintain detailed documentation for system designs and field procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, ComSci, CIS, InfoSec, IT, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 8+ years of IT field support, infrastructure support, network support, or systems administration experience
• Hands-on experience supporting network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, LAN, WAN, and VPN
• Experience installing and troubleshooting servers, workstations, and rack management devices
• Experience supporting remote sites, data centers, or government facilities
• Ability to participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certification
• Microsoft, VMware, Linux, or security-related certifications
• ITIL Foundation
