Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage the physical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Comcast's national lab environments
• Participate as an individual contributor in project teams to implement new products and services
• Respond to network incidents and drive technical resolutions for operational problems
• Ensure projects are integrated into engineering operations tooling, including lifecycle management and DCIM
• Interface with vendors and cross-functional engineering teams such as Design, Video, and IP Network Engineering
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams

Requirements

• Deep understanding of MSO architectures, including CRAN, DAA, NDC, and HFC
• Experience with IP, RF, and Optical network analysis
• Proficiency with JIRA and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
• Strong documentation skills and a bias for action
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, complex environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in MSO architectures, including HFC, DAA, and PON
• Knowledge of Critical Infrastructure systems such as power, space, and cooling
• Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM)
• Proven ability to identify operational opportunities to improve network availability
