Infrastructure Architect

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure architecture across on-premises, network systems, and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Develop infrastructure roadmaps, reference architectures, and technology standards
• Lead data center modernization, virtualization, and hybrid cloud integration initiatives
• Design and evaluate network architecture including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and firewalls
• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish infrastructure-as-code, automation, and observability frameworks
• Ensure compliance with federal security standards such as NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Produce technical documentation, infrastructure diagrams, and capacity plans

Requirements

• Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture design and implementation
• Deep knowledge of network engineering (routing, switching, load balancing, firewalls)
• Strong background in cloud migration and design across AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF or FEA
• Proficiency with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools like Terraform or Ansible
• Understanding of storage architecture (SAN/NAS) and data protection solutions
• Knowledge of security principles including Zero Trust and network segmentation
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a related field
• Relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP, CCNA/CCNP, or VCP
