Information Technology - Tenure Track Faculty

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on, applied instruction in Information Technology, with an emphasis on cybersecurity, networking, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and automation (PowerShell).
• Support student success through teaching, mentoring, and coaching in both traditional and online learning environments.
• Participate in the continuous development, review, and revision of the department's curriculum and assessment processes.
• Maintain professional competence and currency in the IT discipline through ongoing scholarship and professional growth.
• Contribute to college operations through committee service and community engagement.
• Manage a standard course load of 15 credit hours per semester and maintain minimum office hours.

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
• Minimum of three years of experience in education or IT infrastructure.
• Ability to provide in-person instruction across the Dayton, Centerville, and Mason campuses.
• Demonstrated commitment to student learning and innovative instructional strategies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a community college environment.
• Must reside in or be able to perform work within Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Information Technology.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in advanced PowerShell scripting and systems administration automation.
