About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first line of defense for emergency technical situations for administrators, faculty, staff, and students, ensuring resolution within one working day.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot notebook PCs and laptops to ensure seamless network functionality.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Touch Kiosks, including computers, printers, and touchscreen devices.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot various hardware, peripheral devices, and drivers.
- Manage network infrastructure, including the installation and maintenance of cabling, concentrators, hubs, switches, and routers.
- Install and maintain Windows images, operating systems, and departmental software, including applying updates, bug fixes, and service packs.
- Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory by notifying supervisors of necessary supplies and specialized parts.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting a large multi-user environment.
- In-depth technical knowledge of various operating systems, software, and computer hardware.
- Ability to resolve problems and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to adapt to a continuously changing environment to meet customer needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of electronics and basic networking.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills.
