Information Technology Technician I

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I technical support for computer systems, network infrastructure, and IT services
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop systems, servers, and peripherals
• Support Windows and Linux operating systems, including user account management and system administration
• Assist with the operation and monitoring of physical, virtual, and cloud-based infrastructure
• Support virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, and Xen
• Monitor system and network performance and escalate complex problems
• Assist in implementing security best practices and vulnerability mitigation
• Support infrastructure upgrades, hardware deployments, and software installations
• Maintain technical documentation, inventory records, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with network, systems, and cybersecurity teams

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Associates degree or equivalent experience
• Must meet DoDM 8140.03 IAT II requirements
• Minimum 1 year of experience with computer systems and networking
• Experience with Windows enterprise and Linux server/OS administration
• Knowledge of network vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and mitigation
• Experience with cloud, physical, and virtual network architecture and monitoring
• Expertise with hypervisors such as VMware, KVM, and Xen
