About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktop systems, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
- Install, configure, image, deploy, and maintain Windows-based workstations and associated equipment.
- Perform basic Windows administration tasks including user account support, password resets, and Active Directory management.
- Respond to technical assistance requests via phone, email, in-person, or the Jira ticketing application.
- Manage and maintain accountability for all physical Government-owned IT property and associated assets.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding logistics, including workstation setup and equipment recovery.
- Administer and maintain inventories of physical IT peripherals to ensure appropriate stock levels.
- Manage, monitor, deploy, and track YubiKeys and other authentication devices.
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, tracking, and disposition of IT assets.
Requirements
- 2 years of overall professional experience and 2 years of specific IT field experience.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and enterprise desktop environments.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365, and desktop imaging.
- Experience with IT inventory management and asset tracking.
- Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical field.
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Must be a US Citizen able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
- Experience using ITSM ticketing tools such as Atlassian Jira.
- Basic knowledge of ITIL, Service Desk metrics/SLAs, and mobile device support.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar technical certifications.
- HDI certifications (CSR, SCA, or DAST).
